Whitehaven beach is known as one of the most breathtaking beaches in the world. Found on Whitsunday Island part of 74 islands in the Whitsundays, this aptly names beach has won multiple awards for its sandy dunes and brilliant turquoise waters.
The island is off the coast of Queensland, Australia therefore is only reachable by boat, making the beach even more special.
Over 7km long, the beach has some of the purest white silica sand in the world, the silica content is 98% making if feel as soft as baby powder! Towards the north of the beach is the famous Hill Inlet, here is where the tide shifts the sea and sand to create an amazing fusion of gorgeous colour.
